Welcome to Fabric Bows and More. I have compiled several bow, flower, headband tutorials together in one place. Most of the tutorials I have found online searching for things to make. I hope you will find a few that you like whether it be for your daughters or yourself. Don't forget to click on the "Older Posts" at the bottom over to the right to see more samples.

Krissy Flower Review ~ Tutorials by Fancy Schmancy Boutique

The Fancy Schmancy Boutique is one of our sponsors.  Jeni sent me another one of her wonderful tutorials called “Krissy” to try out and write a review on.  This tutorial took a little more time than some of her other tutorials but I am sure the next one I made it would go a lot faster.  After making this flower there are some things I would do different next time.  One being my fabric choice I would probably choose a fabric that is similar on both sides and not noticeable different sides.  This one I choose had two different sides and I did not know until after it was all done that I was not consistent with this.  One reason was my lighting in my living room is horrible and second I was probably not wearing my reading glasses (getting older sucks lol). Third I would choose some thing more fancy for the center of this flower.  I did not have a lot of choices to choose from and I did not pick up the right center when planning this flower out.  I do have some really nice centers coming in through a group buy, I am excited to start using them.  I may change this center out when I get my new centers.  Last I would probably choose a fabric that was not so stiff.  Over all I love the way it turned out and love Jeni’s tutorials.  I am always amazed at my final product and say to myself, “I really made this.”  I can tell Jeni really enjoys writing tutorials and does a great job at it.

These are some of the things I really liked about Jeni's tutorial:

  • It was very easy to read, the text was nice and large; I did not even need to put on my reading glasses!
  • The tutorial was very nicely put together so that basically anyone, even a first-timer could figure it out.
  • There are a lot of very helpful pictures. I love good pictures showing how to do something, it is much easier to follow than just plain text.
  • Directions included suggestions on how to create the flower either smaller or larger as well as how to cut your fabric without the edges fraying.
