Welcome to Fabric Bows and More. I have compiled several bow, flower, headband tutorials together in one place. Most of the tutorials I have found online searching for things to make. I hope you will find a few that you like whether it be for your daughters or yourself. Don't forget to click on the "Older Posts" at the bottom over to the right to see more samples.

What I Made This Weekend #23

My daughter and I were at Costco last week and she saw this shirt/skirt and loved it so of course the nice mommy I am I got it for her.  I had some new beads I was dying to try out and some new bows (I will be doing a product review on them soon) so this is what I came up with.  The colors matched this outfit, my camera did not get the colors exact but if you saw it on it matched perfectly.

My Towel Rosettes / Towel Bag w/ Rosettes

I found the cutest towel tutorial the other day and rushed out to the store to see if I could find a towel like the sample since this was my first attempt and I thought stripes would work best.  Here is the Towel Tutorial by Loads and Loads of Love and Laundry.  You only need one towel to make this bag.

Here is my attempt.  I did not know what to do with my scraps off the edges so I decided to make some rosettes with them and add some bling.  Who would have thought to make rosettes with towel scraps? I attached them to the bag with velcro and sewed the bottom velcro on the towel so I could remove them and wash the bag.

My daughter is so excited to go to her swimming class on Monday so she can take this bag,

What I Made This Weekend #20

I have been so busy with everything I have not had time to make bows/headbands.  Last week I got several of my daughters outfits out and picked out fabric, leaves, flowers, buttons and put them in a baggie so when I got the time I knew these headbands would go with my daughters outfits.  I have been slowly working on getting these done for her and I finished 10 of them this weekend.  Here are the headbands:

This a sample of what they look like on my daughter but I also wear them they are one size fits all.

What I Made This Weekend #19

A little story behind these first two headbands.  I have a real estate customer that had 6-7 old shirts that did not fit him anymore and asked me if I wanted them for my husband to wear.  I said sure and brought them home.  My husband never wore them since they were button down shirts.  Last year my husband lost 45 lbs and now wears a size large shirts these x-large shirts are way to big for him and he never wore them anyways. I liked the designs on them and got thinking these would make perfect headbands I just happened to have some shirts that matched them.  So here are two headbands that I made out of old button down shirts.

My new obsession is rhinestone buttons.  I have a ton of them now lol.  I listed some of my Shabby J Headwraps on Etsy and now they all have the rhinestone buttons on them.  Wow! they look so much better with “bling”.

Here they are with bling (If you are interested in them click on the picture it will take you to my etsy site).  These are the actual headwraps you will receive and ready to ship.

The first picture is of my daughter wearing a headwrap:

Here is what is on my Etsy site:

What I Made This Weekend #18

I guess it has been a while since I have posted any thing that I have made.  I have been so busy with our Hand Stamped Necklace business I have not had time for much but had a little time to get some of these headbands made in the last few months.

Here are my plans:  I am planning on selling a printable template with step by step instructions on how to make this headband with links to where to purchase the supplies such as material, flowers, rhinestone buttons (bling).  I will also have a tutorial on how to make the fabric flowers for the center (not the shabby flowers those you can purchase for a great price).  I am hoping to have this tutorial available the middle of January and will sell it on Etsy.  Not sure of the price yet probably some where around $6.00 – $7.00.  I will also be selling a few of these headbands when I get the time to make them, they will range from $15-$20 depending on what is on them the ones with the bling will be more.  Not sure I will be taking special requests they will be what ever I make and then will relist when I make more.  Some will be one of a kind and some will be the same as others.

The best part about these headbands is my 7 year old daughter and I can both wear the same ones they are one size fits all.

What I Made This Weekend #17

Wow it has been since July since I have posted on this “What I Made This Weekend” series.  I have been dying to make these fabric headbands for a long time and so I finally make two of them this weekend.

This one was my first one.  This was one of my daughters new Naartjie outfits I purchased last week, I wanted to make something to match it.  I was really happy with the outcome of this headband my daughter loved it.  It looks so cute with this outfit.  The two flowers are a little different than each other.  I think I liked the second headband flower better.

Here is the second headband I made for my daughter to match one of her dresses for church.  Her hair is almost black, I did not like the black flower in the center so I added a rhinestone button and it made it look so much nicer.  You can get beautiful Rhinestone Buttons from Sassy Paci Boutique.

This picture shows the dress I made it to match it.

Now to find the time to make more of these headbands.
